During the first week of our field experience it was hard to adapt to the noise and vibration produced by this construction site not even 500 meters away from the school. Even when I had a great mentor teacher and very interesting students, I got home with a terrible headache every day. However, by the end of the week my body had adapted and I felt better.

The Wall of Fame is a little project my mentor teacher allowed me to make to portray the tests of our students that had scored a 100% during the first 9 week period. They were all very proud of their achievement. We also sent a picture home so they could share their success with their parents and family.

One of the things I love most about this classroom is that is big and spacious and that students sit in tables, all looking at each others faces as equals. I believe that kind of non verbal statement influences the learning atmosphere.

My final project for my mentor teacher was to redo her door in preparation for the Thanksgiving celebration. She was very satisfied with my efforts. The students all had a fun time helping me put it together while we reviewed facts about the historical events that preceded this celebration.
